This is part of a series painted on pieces of the 1947 stair treads that came out of artist, Meghan Aileen’s house. The dark aged wood backdrop creates a warmth that can’t be replicated. Allowing some of the wood to show through in the thin layers of the sky lets the wood speak. Thicker layers in the bushes give dimension, texture, and interest. Inspired by the Spring landscape in Leiper’s Fork, TN.
