Join host and sourdough bakery owner Rebecca Witt of Nashville-based Sourdough Mama as you dive into all things sourdough! This will be a 2.5 hour class filled with everything you need to know to start making your own sourdough bread.
In the class we will cover:
- What sourdough is and what happens during fermentation
- What starter is and how to use it
- What you need to make sourdough at home
- How each step of the process should look and how to bake (you'll be able to mix your own dough, learn how to shape a loaf, and take one home to bake later!)
- Q+A

Rebecca fell in love with sourdough several years ago and now owns a cottage bakery specializing in artisan bread and pastries. Everything that comes out of her bakery is organic, naturally leavened, and long fermented for optimal health benefits. She is passionate about returning to our roots and being more connected to our food the way God intended. She is excited to share with you her love of sourdough!
