Date: Friday, September 12th
Time: 1-3 pm
Location: The Potterie at Patina Meadow (address to be sent after purchase.)
Teacher: Sloan Bates
Join potter Sloan Bates in the Potterie at Patina Meadow for a 2-hour introduction to the art of wheel-thrown pottery!
The class will begin with a demo from Sloan, where she will walk participants through everything they need to know to throw pots on the wheel, from centering to slicing the finished piece off the wheel head. Participants will then get to try to make their own pieces with assistance from Sloan.
Once we finish, students will select one of their pieces to be trimmed and glazed for pick-up at a later date (additional pieces can be added for $10 a piece.)
This is a messy-hands-on experience, so please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty!
This class is intended for beginners. Not suitable for children under 10 years old.
TICKETS ARE TRANSFERABLE TO OTHER GUESTS, BUT NON-REFUNDABLE. PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND AT LEAST 24 HOURS PRIOR TO CLASS.
